315 x 120cm, 10'4" x 3'11"

A Vintage Persian Baft Kilim Runner woven in wool circa 1940 in Iran. The runner features a fine, striped geometric design of lozenge and diamond motifs. Rich red, deep blue, cream and yellow colours are used to create the patterns within the runner.

Persian Kilim Rugs and Runners have a long history, and their fine flatweaves depict geometric patterns, often using deep and rich colours. These pieces are woven throughout Iran to this day, and their designs are used as inspiration for Afghan, Pakistani and Indian counterparts. This runner was woven by skilled weavers from excellent quality wool, making it very hard-wearing. At around 80 years old, it is in excellent condition and has no sign of wear.

This Vintage Persian Baft Kilim Runner adds depth of colour and warmth to both classic and contemporary living areas. The runner is best placed in bedrooms, hallways or living rooms and is suitable for areas with high footfall.
