A Persian Senneh Rug hand knotted in wool from northwestern Iran. The rug features an all-over design of very small geometric diamond motifs, with these patterns continued into the borders with the addition of geometric botteh and lozenge designs. Rich red and deep blue tones combine with cream and pink colours throughout the rug.
Persian Senneh Rugs are tribal pieces from in and around Sannandaj (previously called Senneh). The rugs are made from fine wool by expert weavers and are also known for being tribal pieces possessing finer weaves. The quality of wool and expertise of the weavers make these rugs very soft to the touch and extremely hardwearing.
