This rather vivacious Persian Rug was hand knotted in the 20th century around the time the best Kashans were being commissioned for individual homes. This piece is a composition of vibrant colours and floral patterns, woven in a way that dazzles the eye from a distance but looks so uniform and structured up close. The weaver of this rug likely took inspiration from the Garden of Paradise.
Like many Persian Kashans, this rug is closely woven in a wool and cotton blend using a Persian knot, resulting in a soft and lustrous finish that is also extremely hard-wearing. Each of the materials has been coloured in an appealing palette of exclusively natural dyes.
