A spectacular hand knotted silk carpet with an Alexander McQueen design, inspired by Sarah Burton’s Folklore collection. The carpet features dark, soft and rich grey colours in the form of stylised monarch butterfly wings. The carpet was woven by master weavers in Nepal and has a beautifully soft and lustrous cut pile.
This piece was expertly crafted by Nepalese weavers from fine silk, ensuring sumptuous softness underfoot. Alexander McQueen was famed for his dramatic and theatrical designs in the fashion industry, and the design house later turned its hand to luxury homewares, including rugs. This carpet is in good overall condition but has areas of staining to the pile. This will be removed and the carpet fully cleaned prior to dispatch.
