A beautiful little Antique Tekke Turkmen Rug hand knotted circa 1910. The rug features a rich brown-red ground colour with a geometric diamond and zig-zag design detailed in green, deep blue, orange and cream tones. There are minor areas of colour run, but this piece is in excellent overall condition.
An unusual mix of colours, this Turkmen rug still maintains the fineness and quality of wool found within rugs of this type, with the skill of the weavers ensuring the rug will last for more than a lifetime! As such, the rug is very soft underfoot and wonderfully smooth to the touch.
